He gently fingered a tendril of my hair,
Then ran his hand smoothly down my arm.
I stared at him and gasped in alarm,
Knowing he could be the epitome of seduction and charm.
I reluctantly pulled my wrist from his grip-
Informed him I wasn't into casual courtship.
The smile in his eyes held a sensuous flame,
As he put his lips to my ear and whispered my name.
Intense, husky and with a slight accent,
His tone implied both possesion and desire.
My lips trembled and I took a quick breath,
As my entire body suddenly caught afire.
The very air around us seemed electrified,
His compelling gaze promising all his voice implied.
As his silver, green eyes riveted me to the spot,
Filled with passion, longing and something white-hot.
Suddenly I didn't care that he was a master-
and I the amateur in this game.
Didn't care of the impending disaster,
That this might be a set-up or a double edged frame.
Leaning forward I pressed my lips to his,
A kiss as light as a spring breeze.
His mouth parted under mine, allowing me to tease-
To brush, nip and nibble, but mostly to please.
I stepped back, smoothing his dark hair, and loved him with my eyes.
Despite everything- our past, the treachery and the lies.
Not this time, I smiled at him and shook my head. No.
Then I turned to walk away- and he let me go.
